Many of the the following images are screens from our create account process:

Block

Blocks are pieces of strategic information that describe what has to be achieved, by whom, and by when. They are arranged in a top-down hierarchy, creating lines of communication and accountability, describing your organization's strategic activies.

  • Learn how to update progress. Progress is a subjective measure of completion for a strategy.
  • Learn how to find an existing strategy. Learning how to navigate the various screens of StrategyBlocks can be a little daunting, but they are all designed to achieve the same purpose: strategic communication. It follows that we also have many different ways to locate strategies.

Core strategies

How are you going to deliver your Vision/Mission? What are the key branches of strategy needed? Who is responsible for executing these, and to which focus areas do they belong?

These are the strategies that directly contribute to your overall mission statement.

Delegation

Creating linear paths of responsibility is fundamental in StrategyBlocks. This will encourage the recognition of expertise within your team, and encourage accountability. They may then choose to delegate to their own teams.

Level

StrategyBlocks works by breaking your vision into finer levels of detail so that each lower level fully describes the high-level activities above it. Each of these levels can have a title. We have already created a default set of levels, but you can customise them further.

Focus Areas

As the plan grows, the need to categorize strategic activity becomes important. Focus areas provide the ability to filter out unwanted information and to direct attention. eg, Customer, Financial etc.

Focus areas can be used for categorisation and filtering blocks from your views/reports.

Outputs

Outputs (KPIs) are the structured numbers in your organisation. Read more on our website.

The outputs table is presented as a report that allows you to quickly see the states of each one. You can see the title, owner, date of the last value, today's target, and today's value, the trend, and the status.

Outputs are grouped hierarchically by focus area. Within each group they can be sorted by all columns.

Risks

Risks are presented in a table similar to Outputs.
